Meet Bushnell Law

Ed Bushnell grew up in Connecticut and moved to Teton County after college. He worked as a journalist for six years before attending law school at the University of Oregon. After graduating from law school in 2009 he clerked for a Superior Court Judge in Sitka Alaska for one year, assisting the Judge in drafting Orders on Motions for Summary Judgment and other pleadings. He also acted as a magistrate in Alaska, where his duties included issuing search and arrest warrants, presiding over protective order hearings, and officiating marriages. After his clerkship Bushnell worked for three years as a deputy district attorney in Clackamas County Oregon, where he took over fifty cases to trial.
In 2013 Bushnell moved back to Jackson with his wife and two young daughters. He has spent the last twelve years practicing law in the state and federal courts of Wyoming. He focuses on family law, construction law, land use law, estates, business litigation, and criminal law. Understanding that litigation can be stressful, both emotionally and financially, he is focused on obtaining the best and most efficient outcome for any legal issue. At the same time, he will enthusiastically and aggressively take a case to trial if that is the best option for his clients. He is an appointed District Court Commissioner for Title 25 (involuntary hospitalization) hearings. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, running, reading, and attempts to play the piano and guitar.
